Paul Glover - Accompanist
Paul began having piano lessons at the tender age of 11. As a viola player he was a founder member of the Sheffield Youth Orchestra, before studying composition and piano at the Royal Academy of Music. He taught at St Benedict's School, Ealing, and moved with his wife, Tricia , to Lichfield on his appointment as Head of Music at The Friary School. Since 1976 he has assumed a variety of roles at St John's Parish Church, Shenstone: choirmaster, organist (reluctant!) and conductor (village choir and orchestra). With a friend he inaugurated the Lichfield Competitive Festival of Music in 1978 which takes place annually in November. He finds gardening and DIY therapeutic antidotes to the current demands of the Dfes and he may well restock the tropical fish tank in the not too distant future when the alarm clock is surplus to requirement! Paul and Tricia have enjoyed two children and seven cats, but not all at the same time!
