Ann Lyon - Soprano

I am 50 years old and started singing at around the age of 11 in school choirs. I sang in a girls' folk group at local churches and institutes in my teens - my other friends thought I was rather strange!

I took a lead role at 18 in Gilbert and Sullivan's HMS Pinafore. This has become one of my main hobbies as I have been a member of Walsall Gilbert and Sullivan Society for 25 years. I would say that although I have other hobbies, singing is my main time consumer other than work.

I joined Credo about 10 years ago and enjoy the variety of music that we cover as I love nearly all types of music. My family are also involved in various groups - dramatic and operatic. As my daughter has been surrounded by music, it seems inevitable that she also enjoys singing - however, my son's tone deaf, so that blows that theory out of the water!!
